Journal Publishing Specialist
Location: Remote role based in Egypt

Overview: EPEX is seeking a Journal Publishing Specialist to support scholarly journal production and publishing operations across Arabic and English journals. This is a full-time operational role that combines typesetting and production support, journal management and workflow coordination, production quality control, and editor and author communication. The successful candidate will work closely with journals teams, production teams, and customer consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Typesetting and Production Support
- Perform Arabic and English article typesetting and layout formatting
- Apply journal branding, formatting, and layout requirements
- Support PDF generation and publication preparation workflows
- Conduct production quality control checks before publication
- Journal Management Support
- Support day-to-day journal and production workflows
- Coordinate with editors, authors, reviewers, and publishing teams when needed
- Monitor article progress through editorial and production stages
- Follow up on proofs, corrections, and approvals
- Assist in managing publication schedules and issue planning
- Client and Service Support
- Support communication with journal clients and publishing partners

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Publishing, Information Science, Languages, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in journal typesetting and production workflows
- Strong understanding of Arabic and English formatting and typography
- Experience working with MS Word, Adobe InDesign, and PDF editing tools
- Familiarity with XML, JATS, HTML, or LaTeX is a must
- Understanding of scholarly publishing standards and journal structures

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Sales and Administration Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone of our company. In this critical junior-level role, you will be the central hub for all internal administrative workflows, cross-departmental coordination, and essential customer-facing documentation. You will ensure that our Sales, Legal, Technology, and Academic teams operate seamlessly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Central Administrative Hub: Serve as the primary internal point of contact for all administrative operations across the Sales, Customer Consultancy, Legal, Technology, and Academic units.
- Contract & Invoice Management: Manage the end-to-end administrative workflow for clients, including communicating license agreements, following up on invoicing, and collecting necessary data to ensure all accounts are on track.
- Documentation & Records Management: Oversee comprehensive internal administration, including meticulous legal and financial filing, documentation, and ensuring that all CRM records and workflows are accurate and up-to-date.
- Legal & Vendor Coordination: Act as the main liaison with our internal/outsourced legal department and external vendors, ensuring all agreements, contracts, and requirements are processed efficiently.
